Polar Bears that aren't endangered

I started this thread because I was posting the polar bear photos on the "Just out of the shop" thread, and that boat is running like a top here and we are getting a lot of Polar Bears and photos, so I figured I would post them here. We get about two or three a day passing by, some with radio collars, some with cubs and some are just really big.

There really isn't any endangered Polar bears, they can live on the land or the ice, they just prefer the ice. In the event that the Ice was to "Disapear", the seals they hunt would move to the land instead of the ice to eat the fish that go along the coast, the Polar bears would just eat them there.

The reason they are on the endangered list is that the Anti-Oil (tree huggers types) are hell bent on stopping any off shore exploration on the North Slope of Alaska.

They show ads on TV with polar bears sitting on a shrinking iceberg and ask for money to help save them... it is a crock, they are increasing in numbers and have been for years... Anyway, during this "Short Summer" here, I will post the photos of the bears that we get a chance to get a picture of.

These two were of one that was sleeping on the beach at "Spy Island" yesterday and one that was swimming a few miles off one of the drilling Islands they are building. He was a pretty good sized guy.
